Josie and Suzy are best friends
It is *hot* and this is a good thing. The store usually is about two or three hours behind the outside environs temperature wise, so by the time I closed up today at 6 pm, it was roasting! That didn't stop some lovely girls from coming by, though, and trying out the fabulous *wool*(!) we have got in store for you! If you can believe it! Now, that's what I call forward-thinking.
Sure, everyone is shopping our sale rack for the best bargains you'll ever find in summer wear at this shop. The best things to get right now? The Josie dress and the Suzy skirt. Girls that love one style will usually love the other, so Josie and Suzy are definitely best friends this week! The button-down Josie is deceptively simple and demure, but you can do so much with this sweetie! Wear a camisole under it and UNBUTTON the top button for a fetching look. Wear a push-up bra under it! You can wear it with sneakers for that hip, dressed-down look, or with high heels for a night out (make sure you wear some spectacular necklace with it to show off your collar bones). Speaking of spectacular necklaces, the butterly necklaces from Kris Nations are unique and show stopping. Admire yourself with these jewels next time you stop by. And the Suzy skirt...in peach, red, and white prints of a classy chrysanthemum-- this little number will brighten up your day for sure.
Back to my other point, which was that forward-thinking girls are stepping up their fall wardrobes. This week is sure to be hot, but these twilight balmy evenings are not going to last. You'll want wool, and lots of it. Two girls came in today to try on the Nelly skirt, a simple, graceful calf-length skirt that wraps and ties with a bow so that you feel like a (very warm) gift. And you are a gift, girl! You are a gift to the world, and don't let anybody (especially that guy/girl that doesn't know your worth) tell you otherwise.
And if you are one of the lucky girls out there with a boy (or girl) you can be proud of, please come in and tell the rest of us what we might be missing. Misery loves company, but it's better if the company is sparkling and in love, frankly! What I think is if you are in love, enjoy it while you can, and if you're not, then it's just around the corner...
