a new week

hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the sunshine and HOT weather this weekend. even though i grew up in the bay area and have become accustomed to indian summers (weather doesn't even warm up until august!) i hate september. to me septemeber marks the end of summer, and the beginning of fall. i'm more of a warm weather person so this is is depressing. cold weather is so horrible! my toes get all cold and numb, can't wear open toed shoes, have to bundle up in a gazillion layers just to go out, fingers turn blue...makes me not want to do anything but stay under the covers during winter. september is especially cruel as the sun comes out, teases us for a couple of weeks, and then all of a sudden, it gets cold, and theres no more flip flops, cotton skirts, and skimpy tanks. in come the wool coats, boots, and cozy sweaters. i guess it wouldn't be so bad if i were more prepared for fall, but i can never seem to buy fall stuff ahead of time. this weekend i was downtown looking for camisoles and sundresses (as expected, didn't find anything) instead, i saw tons of nice sweaters, wool trousers, and heavy knits. they were adorable, but i couldn't bring myself to try anything on. which is probably the reason why i never have enough warm clothing during the winter. i wish i was a forwards thinking girl who wouldn't let winter sneak up on her!

other than that, i went out to santana row on sat night with a couple of girlfriends. we lounged at the vbar (inside hotel valencia) and enjoyed the change of scenery. it's nice to get out of the city sometimes. people have been telling me that the shopping is great there, but it seems like all the stores there are all downtown too, so it would really be pointless for me to drive 45min away when i can go dtwn. did you know that the developers at santana row had asked sunhee moon to open up there? it would have been interesting to see how sunhee moon fits in over there. speaking of which, we're still looking for a location....
