i'm so lucky!
i get a call from my friend chiara last night that i'm in the december lucky issue. so of course i was excited to get my hands on the magazine to see what it looks like. i go to five different locations and they all have the old months issue, until i finally find it in safeway. as i am standing in the check-out lane, i am perusing the magazine, clumsily flipping through the pages, inserts are flying all over the place and i am making a spectacle of myself. then a man who is buying a 40 ouncer plops his beer on the conveyor belt and peers over my shoulder. he looks right at me and says "is that you? that's not a good picture, you are prettier in real life." i laughed and thought this is my lucky day, i am in a popular nationwide magazine and i got a compliment from a drunk man.
