The skinny on the Skinny
Oh skinny pant, the idea of you brings shivers down my calves!
I hate to say it, but I love the skinny pant trend. I feel that it's been around for a bit of time now that it's not even a trend anymore...it's a fit thats going to stick around for awhile...again. The thing with the skinny pant is that you have to search for the right shape of this style for it to work on your body. Believe me, I've searched. I've tried on skinny pants that squeezed my thighs like I was a sausage (not cute), skinny pants that are too high-waisted that they look like 80's mom pants (you know, like in that SNL skit) and skinny pants that that were just too, too long in the inseam (I'm of the short-legged breed).
But alas! Sunhee (naturally) came to the rescue with her own renditions of the slim slack: the Mick and the Caren pant. The Mick is my choice because it's not too low rise, is fitted through the thigh, straight & slim through the calf and has a shorter inseam! So it works as the perfect full length pant for me, or the cutest cropped skinny for you taller girls out there. The Caren is a great choice for women with wider hips and fuller thighs that want to try the skinny style; it is cut with more room in the waist and through the thighs then tapers ever so nicely to the ankle...absolutely perfect for work!
I think that with the right cut and size, everyone can and will look good in the skinny pant style...you just gotta rock it!
