new space
what can i say about the new space other than it has completely exceeded my expectations. it is a beautiful white modern space with three dressing rooms, that is right, no more waiting for a shared dressing room. i was there this entire weekend helping the electrician put up our track light, you would think it was a simple task, far from it, we were there all day and most of the night saturday and sunday. by the end of it i was exhauted and slap happy. yesterday i put up the address on the door, a true mark that we are in our new space. i remember when i first opened the store on fillmore, my best friend lily helped me all day and night for two days and we opened the shop on saturday and my first customer was a guy who bought his girlfriend a dress and paid me in cash. of course to this day i still have the dollar bill that he gave me, and taped it to the side of my drawer as a reminder of that first opening day. i know that this sounds a little funny but to me this is like giving birth to a new adventure. i know that things will be so different in this new space, that is proven by all the colorful characters on that street.
