red eye
i am leaving on the red eye to new york tonite. i get in at 6 am take a cab into manhattan and i have one day of shopping and walking the city. the next days ahead will be non-stop, going from show to show and seeing the underlining trends for the upcoming seasons. though i feel a little separated from the trends of what others are doing, since my stuff is more classic in cut and design, i get a certain amount of thrill in seeing if some trends sink or swim. one trend from last year, which i think is still strong this year is the metallics, you will see it everywhere. you will see it in different hues, while last year it was in gold and silver, this year, you will see it in platinum, bronze and pewter. i thinks flats will be huge for spring, i happen to love flats, basic or sequined, it is my all time favorite must-haves, next to the driving shoes.
