new york

i'ts been so crazy since i returned from new york. i had a great time there as i always do. although i thought the weather just about killed me. i am so not ever prepared for the kind of weather i am about to face when i go to new york. i was two layers shy from being warm and had to buy tons of long sleeve tees and sweaters. i even succumbed and bought a pair of boots that i know i will surely get stoned in san francisco. you see in new york, everyone wears fur, every kind of fur, these shoes i bought have sheep fur, which is a little better than the usual chinchilla you see all over the city, sheep fur is what is weaved as sweaters etc, so i don't feel guilty, since these sheeps do not need to die for fashion only sheared, but to the untrained s.f. eye it may appear as if some small creature was blind sighted. this trip was especially special because my best friend lily was able to accompany me in what was our last hurrah before she and her famly move to japan for a couple of years. so this was so special because, when i would go to ny back in the day, it was with her as we were showcasing our new collection for the buyers. new york in winter is so beautiful with the snow and crisp air. we were fortunate to see the christo gates in central park, it was up for 16 days, 2 days more than his usual exhibits, and experienced a little of art history. i was an art major and took extensive art history classes at berkeley and loved it, and to be there during such a momentuous occasion, where i know that it will be covered in furture art history classes, was great. http://www.christojeanneclaude.net/tg.html
