we are in!
we are in the new space. it is everything and more than i had expected, firstly, i cannot tell you how many people from the neighborhood have welcomed us and expressed their happiness that we were there. this lifted my heart and confirmed that this was the best place for us to be. several of the custsomers came in after seeing our picture in the current bay guardian, listing the super list. we were also mentioned in paper city newspaper. we are so thankful to the contractors who helped build out the space to reach our open-date deadline: don, archie and crew. you're the best. the store is so much bigger, i haven't quite reached a flow for the space. when i look at the storefront, it reminds me of a boutique on wooster street in new york.the energy is so different from the old space, it is almost night and day, the old fillmore address is in a quiet residential nieghborhood, while 16th street, is more frenetic and exciting. there are so many dogs in this neighborhood, i am seriously thinking about making a izhee's line of dog clothes. debbie and i have sampled a few of the eatery's on that street and we have been to pakwan twice in a row for their delectable chicken masala wrapped in naan. it is like an indian burrito...so good, if you haven't been there i highly reccommend it.
