Summer vacation
We all know the weather is a little crazy in San Francisco. Last weekend it was hot and summery, this week has been fall-like and chilly, even with the smell of bonfire lingering in the air (sadly, from the wildfires north of the city). You'd think with all these temperature extremes we would be getting sick left and right -- bodies unsure how to regulate from day to day! However, it seems that everyone has caught the travel bug instead.
In the last few months I've had people in the store who were travelling to France, Israel, Iceland, Italy, China, Japan, and everything in between. It makes my pending travel plans to the East Coast seem like small potatoes! Last night in my last-minute packing anxiety I found a website that claimed it had the ultimate packing list -- only the most essential items that could last you for a trip of any duration, in any location. While I'm all for packing light, sometimes you need a fun accent piece to give your trip an element of fashion adventure as well.
I'm bringing my Frances top (in black) with me to New York this weekend. It's breezy and light, perfect for hot city temps. The new Ginger dress is a great travel piece as well. It works double duty as a tunic over pants for daytime sightseeing, and then as a sweet mini dress with heels for night. Plus, the jersey is easy to pack and doesn't wrinkle. What more could you want?
Wishing everyone safe travels,
