carpet ride
Working in the retail world, we get used to late starts in the morning and late dinners after the shop closes up.
At 8:15 in the morning on the 4th of July... I found myself walking to work, trying to shake off a late night with friends with a bagel from Katz and a big coffee. Why so early? Especially on a holiday when all of the shops are closed for business?
Only a total store makeover!
Sunhee and I moved every piece of clothing and furniture out of the Union Street store to make way for the carpet guys to do their magic. While they worked, we spent the day shopping for sunglasses, collecting lucky stones from the Tibet store, and getting some lunch.
When we came back a few hours later... the transformation was complete!!! Everything looks better against the dark charcoal carpet. The walls look whiter, the clothes look more colorful... Seeing the store stripped down and put back together got us thinking about even more radical changes for the shop, so stay tuned for future improvements!
