In praise of San Francisco...
It is a beautiful day on Union Street.
Maybe its the freshly-installed carpet here in the store, or the abundant sunshine, or the generous amount of avocado that was on my sandwich this afternoon (thanks Marina Sub!)... but I cannot help but sing the praises of the Marina today.
Literally, as I began writing this blog entry, Bob Marley came on the iPod!
I recently had the pleasure of showing one of my best friends around San Francisco for her first visit. We walked everywhere - from Coit Tower through North Beach, up Lombard Street, strolled through the park in Fort Mason, and finally over to Union St. As each new view became clear to us at the crest of a hill or through eucalyptus trees, we were both astounded at San Francisco's beauty. It felt great to introduce her to all the sights, and was wonderful affirmation of why I live here, as well.
It's a joy to work for a San Francisco designer like Sunhee Moon. She's hip to the pulse of the city -- what's going on with its inhabitants, the neighborhoods, the weather. Every new piece that comes in is a true reflection of life in this city.
That said, the Patricia Tunic has been flying off the shelves! So represent, and get yours, quickly!!
