Me too!

So not only is it Caroline's birthday month...it's totally mine too! (tomorrow, to be exact) And what a better way to treat myself to Happy 20th year of living than a shopping spreeeeeeeeeee! (And a mani-pedi. And some new music on iTunes.)
My first stop tomorrow will be Sunhee Moon over on 16th street, naturally. I've made myself a want list that seems to get bigger and bigger every week. Besides the huge list of skirts, pants and dresses on my list to get tomorrow, I've been eyeing a few key gold pieces...oh that's right, JEWELRY!
One of my favorite things about working for Sunhee Moon is being able gaze at and play with the awesome selection of jewelry we carry. Most of our jewelry designers are local and use sterling silver, 14k-18k gold vermeil (a gold plating on top of sterling silver), rose gold or semi-precious stones to create beautifully simple, wear-anywhere pieces. Sunhee's favorites are the pieces by Viv & Ingrid; they create necklaces and matching earrings using tear drop, oval and circular shapes that hang delicately and pair perfectly with any outfit, day or night. Another cool designer that I really like is Denise Heffernan; she experiments with different organic shapes like branches, leaves, and coral and makes her own casts of these shapes with sterling silver and gold then pairs them with different gemstones for really cool, offbeat looks. What has really been catching my eye, however, is the most demure of them all: the teeny tiny gold Lucky Bamboo charm necklace from an LA based company named Dogeared. They have a bunch of cute little lucky charms in either silver or dipped gold and are great to wear alone or layered with other necklaces. What I love about the Lucky Bamboo necklace is that it has the smallest red string tied onto the bamboo charm that makes it even more adorable...

Only 6 more hours til my birthday and it is gonna be SWEET! (man, i can't wait to shop myself out...)
