sights and sounds of the city!
It's summer in the city... and that means it's time to be outside, open yourself up to culture, take up a new hobby, and hang out with friends.
San Francisco has something new and interesting going on in every corner at every minute... but here are a few highlights to consider for this weekend:
Union Street Sidewalk Sale!
Friday 7/25 - Sunday 7/27. Shops are setting out tables with sales and special goodies. Enjoy the beautiful weather and maybe stop for a frozen yogurt along the way.
Movie: The Breakfast Club playing in Dolores Park!
Saturday 7/26. Bust out a cozy blanket, plastic cups and some vino. It's time to pack a picnic, invite your friends and lounge SF style in beautiful Dolores Park. At dusk, the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation will project The Breakfast Club onto a huge movie screen!

Sunday 7/27. The Chronicle is printing a "Mission Style" guide with observations from local designers and taste-makers on what defines the style of the Mission, and what are the must-haves for the coming season. Our own Sunhee Moon is featured in this article! Pick up a copy and a latte at your favorite neighborhood cafe.
Learn to Swing Dance!
Free beginner Lindy Hop Swing lesson Sundays 12 noon - 12:30pm. Get your body moving with a short introductory lesson, and plenty of time to practice in Golden Gate park. Head over to 8th Ave, just behind the De Young museum.
